Scotland Day 3🌿

It has been a great day here in Scotland!

We began our day at about 8:30, which was the time breakfast began at the Inverlea Guest House. I had rice krispies, scrambled eggs, bacon (basically ham here), toast, and a kiwi. Teeney had rice krispies, toast and an over easy egg. My mom had scrambled eggs and toast.

After breakfast we packed up and got on the road. It was just over a two hour drive (we stopped halfway through at a rest stop and we got donuts from Krispy Kreme😍), but eventually we made it to our destination… the old course at St. Andrews! It was so awesome to see the course where golf began. I had also just watched the Open at St. Andrews, so it was cool to see it in real life! As soon as we arrived we took pictures on the famous bridge on the 18th hole (the Swilcan bridge). We also saw the “road hole” (the 17th hole) and the “valley of sin” (on the 18th green). Then we went to the “British Golf Museum.” It was so cool to see the history of golf! Following the museum, we walked around the town a little. We saw the St. Andrews Cathedral and Castle and then we ate lunch at the Dunvegan Hotel. Teeney and I both had fish and chips and my mom had nachos with chili. After lunch we shopped in a few of the shops around the course. We bought various souvenirs to remember our visit to St. Andrews. This included a hat, ball markers, a jacket, a poker chip, and tees. Overall, our visit to St. Andrews was spectacular and I am so lucky to have seen the home of golf. 😊

We soon left St. Andrew’s and headed to Perth, where our next accommodation was. In about 55 minutes, we made it to the Station Hotel. It is a very nice place!

Once we got checked in, we headed out to dinner. We eventually decided on Pizza Hut… classic, American, and delicious! Teeney and my mom split a cheese pizza, and I had “cheesy triangles” (basically mozzarella sticks). We all enjoyed our dinner. I also got the “ice cream factory” special for dessert. This is just like a build your own sundae bar. I had vanilla ice cream with carmel, m & m’s, and chocolate buttons. Our dinner was very good!

Now we are back in our hotel room. I am writing this blog and we are all watching “Shawshank Redemption.”

Here are the pictures from today… Enjoy!😃
