Day 2 in Ireland🌁

Today is the second day of our trip to Ireland! We woke up and went to the complimentary breakfast at the Ben Breen B&B (where we stayed). I had delicious pancakes, raspberries and blueberries and yogurt, while my mom and grandma each had scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. After we finished eating, we left Ben Breen and headed to Kylemore Abbey. Here we walked around and toured the beautiful abbey. If you want to read a brief history on the abbey, here is a link: http://www.kylemoreabbeytourism.ie/history-of-kylemore/ Below are many pictures of the picturesque abbey:

Oh, and we may have bought a whole stick of butter to use for the baguettes. 😉In Clifden, we also stopped to buy postcards and refilled our gas tank. As we drove to our next B&B (called the Atlantic View B&B), we ate our turkey sandwiches. The next three hours consisted of extremely narrow and windy roads as we drove on “The Wild Atlantic Way.”

We finally arrived at the Atlantic View B&B. Below is a picture of the bright yellow building. After getting checked in, we stopped at The Cornerstone for dinner. My grandma and I both had 6 oz steak sirloins, while my mom had traditional Irish beef stew. Everything was delicious. Before heading back to the B&B, we stopped at an ice cream shop and at a rocky beach to take pictures. I just wanted to feel the temperature of the water, but I ended up getting my pants and shoes wet when an unexpectedly huge wave splashed up on the rock I was standing on. (See the pictures below).

Following that adventure, we went back to our B&B. I took some more pictures of the beautiful scenery from our bedroom window, and then went to bed to get ready for the next busy day.
