Today is the second day of our trip to Ireland! We woke up and went to the complimentary breakfast at the Ben Breen B&B (where we stayed). I had delicious pancakes, raspberries and blueberries and yogurt, while my mom and grandma each had scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. After we finished eating, we left Ben Breen and headed to Kylemore Abbey. Here we walked around and toured the beautiful abbey. If you want to read a brief history on the abbey, here is a link: http://www.kylemoreabbeytourism.ie/history-of-kylemore/ Below are many pictures of the picturesque abbey:
Our next stop after the abbey was Clifden. We stopped to buy strawberries, turkey, and fresh baked baguettes (still warm!) at the Super Valu. Oh, and we may have bought a whole stick of butter to use for the baguettes. 😉In Clifden, we also stopped to buy postcards and refilled our gas tank. As we drove to our next B&B (called the Atlantic View B&B), we ate our turkey sandwiches. The next three hours consisted of extremely narrow and windy roads as we drove on “The Wild Atlantic Way.”
Enjoy the scenery and enjoy each other.
